Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how you may request a refund for a NoSqlStudio license purchased from MasterDatabase Ltda. It supplements the Terms of Use and does not limit any mandatory consumer right.

1. 7-day right of withdrawal

If you purchased a NoSqlStudio license online, you may withdraw from the purchase within seven (7) calendar days of the purchase date and receive a full refund — no reason required. For consumers in Brazil this is a statutory right under Article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC); we apply the same 7-day window to every customer.

2. Defects are our responsibility — we fix them

If the software has a defect — it does not work as described (a "vício") — fixing it is our responsibility, not grounds for a refund. Report the problem and we will correct it at no cost. Under Article 18 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code we have up to thirty (30) days to resolve a reported defect; only if it is not resolved within that period may you then choose a replacement, a full refund, or a proportional reduction of the price. The period to report a defect is up to ninety (90) days for this type of (durable) product, under Article 26 of the CDC. In short: if it is a bug, we fix it.

3. After the 7-day window

Once the 7-day withdrawal window has passed and there is no unresolved defect, the purchase is final and we do not refund a change of mind. The defect remedy described above continues to apply throughout the legal warranty period.

4. How to request a refund

Send a refund request to marcos@masterdatabase.com.br with the order number or the e-mail address used at checkout. We aim to confirm receipt within 2 business days and to process approved refunds within 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through the original payment provider (Stripe or Mercado Pago); the time for the funds to appear depends on that provider and your bank.

5. Exceptions

Refunds may be declined or reduced where:

  • the 7-day withdrawal window has passed and there is no unresolved defect;
  • there is evidence of abuse, fraud, or repeated buy-and-refund behaviour;
  • the license was obtained through an unauthorised reseller or a channel other than nosqlstudio.com;
  • the purchase is part of a custom Enterprise, Site or Corporate agreement with separate refund terms;
  • the Free plan is involved (no payment was made, so no refund applies).

6. Effect of a refund

When a refund is issued, the associated license key is deactivated. You must stop using any paid features that the license unlocked and may continue with the Free plan.
